Restore a client from server or jumpdrive

After the last update I am unable to RESTORE from any location to my desktop computer. The default shows as the E drive (my server) but I cannot even browse to try from another source. It freezes, then shows as "not responding" with the circle, then start thru the files telling me I do not have access. I have to use Task Manager and close down EASYAcct to get out.

I have a laptop where the most recent update has not been made, and that one works correctly.
