We couldn't create any transmission files for 1099s or W2s. Program kept crashing. Kept getting error diagnostics message 'state info not present for C/F', etc, etc.  Spoke to a rep via phone # 1-866-220-0488 regarding this, and after 2.5 hours this is what we did>>>made of copy of the directory folder where the Info Return Sys data stores client data.   We renamed this new copied folder as if it was the original 2025 data file. I supposed you could name it whatever you want.  We then renamed the original folder anther name, OLDINFO or whatever you want to call it.  One by one, in company selection, we used the 'move company' button to move each client from the OLDINFO folder to the new (copied) folder.  This somehow cleansed the glitch.  We also UNCHECKED the 'participate in combined federal/state' box for ALL 1099s since this seemed to be where our glitch was occurring.  For these clients we are just mailing a paper copy of State 1099s.  We did keep the participate box checked for W2s.  There was a glitch in that the system where it was requiring that a State reporting number to be entered in the company info section for 1099 clients even if this did not apply to that client.  Many of our 1099 clients are reporting 1099s with no tax withheld, and so they DO NOT HAVE A STATE REPORTING #.  This has never been an issue in prior years.  ALSO - rep told us that EVERY TIME you download or update any of these programs to ALWAYS, prior to running any updates, right click on the program icon and chose 'run as administrator' or else things will not install properly.  Hope this helps someone!
