It's common for separated married clients to live apart but still want to file jointly due for lower tax liability. Each has tax documents that need to be uploaded to the preparer. Since they may not be on the best of terms, each spouse may not want to give the other spouse access to their tax documents to upload them to the preparer. There needs to be a way through Intuit Link to give two email addresses the ability to upload documents and allow the preparer to communicate through Link with either email address. When the preparer completes the return, he should be able to share the joint return with both email addresses and then each spouse can review the return and approve using their own email address. This eliminates the potential need for each spouse to make physical office visits to bring the preparer their documents. This could be done by allowing two email address on an Intuit Link invite.
