Allow future dates in the "Date of Disposition" of the Asset Entry Wks.

Presently, you can only enter a 2021 date in the "Date of Disposition" box for the Asset Entry Wks in the 2021 program.

It would be nice to allow for 2022 disposition dates in the 2021 program, and that these 2022 disposition dates would affect the "Next Yr Depr" reports.

Presently I have to manually calculate mid-year, mid-month 2022 dispositions.  Presently, your Next Yr Depr reports are worthless, unless you are in the unlikely situation of having no changes, additions or disposals, in the year following your software year... unlikely.

Also, consider allowing us to enter 2022 additions into the Asset Entry Wks and make sure these show up as calculated in the Next Yr Depr report

And then when someone accidentally puts in the wrong year and the return gets messed up, someone is going to complain "why in the world does the software allow you to enter the wrong year".

Easy to fix... have the date field provide intellegent pop ups to warn you, or provide drop down year box, etc.  This would be a valuable fix to their program... presently their next year depreciation report is worthless

Maybe instead of messing around with the tax program, have you ever explored using Intuit's fixed asset manager program?

I have not used Fixed Asset Manager

two questions...

1) Can you export fixed asset data from ProSeries to the Fixed Asset Manager program?

2) How much is Fixed Asset Manager

one observation...

If Intuits Fix Asset Manager allows you to project next years depreciation including know additions and dispositions, then obviously they have the software code and could cut and paste into ProSeries... likely without much effort.

For the record, I have never used it, but here is a link:
