Updating Lacerte Tax Planner

To update Tax Planner, first close out of any tax plan currently open before completing the steps below. Don't update from inside the Lacerte Tax Program.

1. From the Tool menu, select Lacerte Updates.
2. Select Update.

Lacerte 2024 has a new update method. Auto Background updates is on by default, and automatically checks for and downloads updates. You can also schedule specific days and time to check. For more information, see New for 2024: Lacerte Background updates
