
Automatic archival of e-filed returns in ProConnect Tax

Upon e-filing, the system will automatically create PDFs of the return and store them in a folder named E-filed in the Firm documents section of the Documents page.
These PDF documents will be created for any return e-filings. If there are multiple filing agencies for a return, each agency will have a separate PDF created with the agency designation included.
Naming convention
The documents will be named using the following naming convention:
TAX YEAR_FORM TYPE_Return Name_filing type_efiled
Examples
Individual regular:
2023_1040_ReturnName_efiled
Business regular:
2023_1120S_ReturnName_efiled
Individual amended:
2023_1040_ReturnName_amended_EF
Location
There will be a separate folder created for each tax year.
For example, to find the PDF copies of an e-filed 2024 return, the user will need to select 2024 on the Documents page.
The documents stored in these folders will be accessible to any user with access to the client profile.
