Audit Check Marks - Adding Reminders on Lines of a Form
by Intuit•1• Updated 3 months ago
What are the green and red checkmarks on the forms for?
Solution
The green or red checkmarks on forms are known as Audit Checks.
An Audit Check is a checkmark that you can place on lines of a form as a reminder to check the information on that line. When you place an audit check on a line, it displays green. If the information on the checked line changes (due to an automatic calculation for example), the Audit Check turns red to alert you to the change.
If you want to review all of the Audit Checks on all of the forms in the tax return, click Show All Audit Checks on the View menu. You can then switch between forms and add or remove audit checks.
To remove an audit check click on the line next to the check mark.
Lacerte has a feature to allow the green and red check marks in the Forms tab, called Audit Checks, to be removed simultaneously rather than one at a time.
To remove all audit check from all forms:
- While in the Forms tab, click on View on the Menu bar.
- Select Clear audit checks on all forms
To remove all audit checks from a single form:
- While in the Forms tab, click on View on the Menu bar.
- Click on Clear audit checks on the current form.
