Resolving runtime errors in EasyACCT
by Intuit• Updated 1 year ago
When opening EasyACCT, you may see the following runtime errors:
- Runtime Error 2177024770 (800700E)
- Runtime Error 2147467259 (8004005) automation error.
- Runtime Error 2147319779 (8002801D) automation error library not registered.
How to resolve runtime errors
Try re-registering the actbar2.ocx file
- In your Windows Taskbar, search for actbar2.ocx.
- You may find the file in either the C:\WINDOWS or C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 folders.
- Rename the file in the folder to actbar2old.ocx.
- Close the search window.
- Go to Start, Run and type: regsvr32 C:\easywactbar2.ocx.
- Go to Start, Run and type: regsvr32 scrrun.dll.
- There should be a message after each action that the file registration succeeded.
- Open EasyACCT and repeat the internet update if necessary.
Try to reinstall missing and damaged files:
- Select the Start button, then Run.
- Enter C:\EasyWNetworksetup.exe.
- Select OK.
- Follow the prompts to Install Missing and Damaged Files.
- Select Continue to finish the installation.
- Reboot EasyACCT.
Disable the Power Desk program
If you're running a program called Power Desk, the above fix won't work.
To disable Power Desk:
- Go to Start, Run, MSCONFIG, and select the Startup tab
- Select disable Power Desk.
- EasyAcct will open.
This is a Windows error, and indicates a changed, moved or deleted dll, usually caused by installing or removing some software.
The last resort is to update, reinstall, or upgrade the Windows Operating System.
