
Resolving Code Base Error -935 92401 in ProSeries

This error may generate when trying to input an Employer Identification Number or Employer Address on a W-2 or 1099 worksheet. The full error message is Code Base Error -935 92401 Null Input Parameter Unexpected.
Before you start:
- This article references default installation paths and uses YY to reference the tax year in 20YY format. C: will always indicate the local drive and X: will always indicate the network drive.
Use these steps for ProSeries Basic or Professional installed as a stand-alone:
- Close ProSeries.
- Open the Windows File Explorer.
- Browse to the Common folder:
- For ProSeries Basic this is C:\BasWinYY
- For ProSeries Professional this is C:\ProWinYY.
- Rename the files eindb.cdx, eindb.dbf, eindb.ini, and ein.dat to eindbOLD.cdx, eindbOLD.dbf, eindbOLD.ini, and einOLD.dat
- Open ProSeries and attempt to enter an EIN on the W-2 Worksheet.
Use these steps for Professional installed as a network:
- Close ProSeries
- Open the Windows File Explorer.
- Browse to X:\ProSeries\ProNetYY\Common
- Rename the files eindb.cdx, eindb.dbf, eindb.ini, and ein.dat to eindbOLD.cdx, eindbOLD.dbf, eindbOLD.ini, and einOLD.dat
- Open ProSeries and attempt to enter an EIN on the W-2 Worksheet.
