Cannot open the Transaction Entry Screen in EasyACCT

Cannot open Enter Transactions, Payroll Check Computation, Employee Information, or other screens in EasyACCT.

Run the EasyACCT application as an Administrator:

  1. Right click on the EasyACCT icon on the desktop.
  2. Select the Run as Administrator option.
  3. Click Apply.
  4. When opening EasyACCT, if you encounter a message asking if EZACCTW.EXE is allowed to make changes to this computer.  Answer yes.

Check the DPI setting for normal font sizes:

  • How to change the Font Size in Windows 10:
    • Right click on the desktop.
    • Select Display Settings.
    • Scroll down to Scale and layout.
    • In Change the size of text, apps, and other items adjust the setting.
    • Click the X to close the Display Options once you have the desired setting.

Additional Solution:

  1. Close EasyACCT.
  2. Open Windows Explorer - right click on Start and Select Explore.
  3. Find the C:\Windows directory.
  4. Find the EZACCTW.INI file.
    • Note for Business System users, the file name is EZACCTWB.INI
  5. Right Click and delete it.
  6. Open EasyACCT.
