by Intuit• Updated 10 months ago
Use Screen 54.431, Texas Prior Year Returns, to enter information for prior year returns.
This screen is designed to be used to enter data from a return completed in a prior year program but required to file using the current year forms for TX.
- Miscellaneous Data - Use this section to enter the type of return, report year, due data, accounting period and privilege period data. This data will print on the 05-158, 05-163 or 05-169. Please note that the type of return input is mandatory input.
- Form 05-163 - Enter the applicable data for the 05-163. If an input for a checkbox is not located on this screen then it will be located on the Texas Franchise Tax input screen.
- Form 05-158 and 05-169 – Enter the applicable data for the 05-158 or 05-169 returns. These amounts will be used to complete the 05-158 or 05-169, based on the return selected in the Miscellaneous Data section.
- Input for forms other than the 05-158, 05163 and 05-169 should be entered on the appropriate screen(s). It is recommended that you use a separate return to complete your current year return.
