Using Lacerte how do I generate FL Form DR-405?
Table of contents:
To generate FL DOR 405 in the Individual Module:
- Go to Screen 54.397, Florida Tangible Personal Property Tax.
- Check the box Print Tangible return.

- Click on the number 1 located in the bottom left navigation panel.

- Select the County from County- approved for filing (Ctrl+T) (MANDATORY).

- Go to Screen 22, Depreciation.
- Scroll down to the Florida Tangible Personal Property (DR-405) section.
- Select the Location from Florida DR-405 form number from screen 54.397.
- Select the Asset Type.

To generate FL DOR 405 in the Corporate Module:
- Check the box Print Tangible return.
- Go to Screen 50.392, Florida Tangible Personal Property Tax.
- Click on the number 1 from the bottom left naviagtion panel.
- Select the County from County- approved for filing (Ctrl+T) (MANDATORY).
- Go to Screen 21, Depreciation.
- Scroll down to the Florida Tangible Personal Property (DR-405) section.
- Select the Location from Florida DR-405 form number (from Screen 50.392).
- Select the Asset Type.

To generate FL DOR 405 in the S-Corporate Module
- Go to Screen 48.397, Florida Tangible Personal Property Tax.
- Check the box Print Tangible return.
- Click on the number 1 from the bottom left navigation panel.
- Select the County from County- approved for filing (Ctrl+T) (MANDATORY) from the drop down menu.
- Go to Screen 16, Depreciation.
- Scroll down to the Florida Tangible Personal Property (DR-405) section.
- Select the Location from Florida DR-405 form number from Screen 48.397.
- Select the Asset Type.

To generate FL DOR 405 in the Partnership Module
- Go to Screen 43.396, Florida Tangible Personal Property Tax.
- Check the box Print Tangible return.
- Click on the number 1 in the bottom left hand corner.
- Select the County from County- approved for filing (Ctrl+T) (MANDATORY) from the drop down menu.
- Go to Screen 14, Depreciation.
- Scroll down to the Florida Tangible Personal Property (DR-405) section.
- Select the Location from Florida DR-405 form number from Screen 43.396.
- Select the Asset Type.

Solution:
Per the FL Form DR-405 Instructions,
Include:
- Tangible Personal Property. Goods, chattels, and other articles of value (except certain vehicles) that can be manually possessed and whose chief value is intrinsic to the article itself.
- Inventory held for lease. Examples: equipment, furniture, or fixtures after their first lease or rental.
- Equipment on some vehicles. Examples: power cranes, air compressors, and other equipment used primarily as a tool rather than a hauling vehicle.
- Property personally owned, but used in the business.
- Fully depreciated items, whether written off or not. Report at original installed cost.

Don't include :
- Intangible Personal Property. Examples: money, all evidences of debt owed to the taxpayer, all evidence of ownership in a corporation.
- Household Goods. Examples: wearing apparel, appliances, furniture, and other items ordinarily found in the home and used for the comfort of the owner and his family, and not used for commercial purposes.
- Most automobiles, trucks, and other licensed vehicles. See 3 above.
- Inventory that is for sale as part of your business. Items commonly referred to as goods, wares, and merchandise that are held for sale.
