How to resolve critical e-file diagnostic ref. 4342 in ProConnect Tax

The following critical e-file diagnostic is generating in the Individual return:

• "e-file: Qualifying dependent #X: The social security number of the qualifying person matches the social security number of another qualifying person.  This is not allowed for electronic filing." (ref. #4342)

Resolving diagnostic ref. 4342:

This diagnostic generates when a Social Security number (SSN) you've entered matches the SSN of another person. To resolve this diagnostic:

1. Go to Input Return ⮕ General ⮕ Dependents.
   • In the field Social Security #, Make sure each SSN entered is unique.
2. Go to Input Return ⮕Credits⮕ Dependent Care Credit (2441) and select Children, Dependents.
   • Make sure the SSN matches the dependent entered (or selected).
   • Make sure that each dependent is entered only once.
3. Go to Input Return ⮕ Credits ⮕ Education Credits (1098-T, 8863)
   1. Make sure the SSN matches the person entered.
   2. Make sure that each student is entered only once.
