Your firm administrator needs to grant you access

A picture of the error message that states Your firm administrator needs to grant you access. Would you like to send an email to the administrator at your firm requesting online access with a No and Yes button.

To resolve this error if you recently purchased the tax software:

When you first purchase your Lacerte or ProSeries tax product, you'll need to decide who in the firm is going to manage the program access for the firm. This person will be the Primary Firm Administrator and must complete the initial account setup here. For details on how to complete the initial setup see Manage Users for ProSeries or Manage Users for Lacerte. Once that is complete, you can add additional Firm Administrators and Employees.

To resolve this error if you are a new employee of the firm:

If you are new to the firm, select Yes to email the Firm Administrator requesting access. The Firm's Administrator will receive an email to approve your request. Once that is completed, you'll be able to sign in to the tax product.

All others:

If you have been able to access the tax product before, it's likely that the User ID you are using is not the same one you used for the current tax product.

We recommend using the same username and password for all your Intuit products but understand that some users would like to keep those seperate, or may have old user names for prior products.

Try to sign in with other User ID or email addresses you may have used to setup the tax product. To see what Intuit products are associated with the login your trying to use go to Intuit Account Manager, once you sign in select Products & billing to see if your current tax software is listed.
