How to add next year's ProSeries to Rightworks for Intuit Hosting

by Intuit•2• Updated 2 months ago

Before you start:

  • This article will help you add the new year of ProSeries to your Rightworks remote desktop. If you don't use Intuit Hosting for ProSeries, see How to download next year's ProSeries product, instead.
  • Use the red Logoff button on your remote desktop to sign out of the hosted environment, and have any other users in your firm for whom you're installing ProSeries sign out, too.
    • If you are missing this icon, right-click on the Start/Windows icon, select Shut down or sign out and choose Sign out.
  • The first installation for the new year of ProSeries Professional is installed as the admin. If the incorrect user installed the new year first and you should be the admin instead, see this article.
  • If you need to install prior years of ProSeries, the years that are available in the hosted environment that haven't already been installed will be in the same available apps section described below.

Follow these steps to add ProSeries 2025 to the hosted environment:

  1. Sign in to the Rightworks AppHub.
    • Users with the User (no catalog) role will need the Account Owner or someone with the Account Admin role to install apps for them.
  2. Select My Apps.
    • If you are the Account Owner or an Account Admin and you want to install for a user instead:
      • Go to Admin Controls ⮕ Users and select the name (or email address) for the user. This will take you to their apps page instead.
  3. Go to the Cloud Apps tab.
  4. In the Available Applications section, locate 2025 ProSeries.
  5. Select Install.
    • The installation will begin, and when it's complete, you'll see 2025 ProSeries join the Installed Applications section.

When you next login to the hosted environment, you'll see the ProSeries shortcut for the new year on your desktop.

This app has been blocked by your system administrator:

If you were logged in to your hosted environment at the time the program was being installed, you'll receive an error when you open the newly installed year of ProSeries:

"This app has been blocked by your system administrator. Contact your system administrator for more info."

You'll need to log off appropriately. Use the red Logoff button to sign out of the hosted environment. If you are missing this icon, right-click on the Start/Windows icon, select Shut down or sign out and choose Sign out.
