
Entering unemployment compensation on individual returns

- Go to Screen 14.2, State Refunds, Unemployment Comp.
- In the grid, enter Name of Payer and Total Received.
- Enter any other applicable information on this screen, including federal and state tax withheld.
Follow the steps below to enter prior year unemployment compensation repaid in the current year
- Go to Screen 14.2, State Tax Refunds, Unemployment Comp.
- Click on the 1 from the left navigation panel or click Add to add a new 1099-G.
- Scroll down to the Federal section.
- Enter the amount in the field 20YY overpayment repaid (code 3).
