How to enter a custom Signing Officer Title for a business return in Lacerte

How do I designate the title of the signing officer on a business return as someone other than the President, President & CEO, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Controller, CEO, COO, CFO, Chairman or Director?

The field for the title of the signing officer has a list of names given by the IRS. The field also allows you enter in a custom title.

To enter the a custom Signing Officer Title:

1. Go to the Miscellaneous Information screen.
   • Partnership: Screen 3
   • Corporate: Screen 4.1
   • S-Corporate: Screen 3.1
2. Scroll to the Miscellaneous Information section.
3. Select the Title of signing officer field.
4. Type in the required title.
