Generating Form 1040-SR in ProConnect Tax

Intuit ProConnect automatically generates the 1040-SR when the taxpayer is 65 or older.

You can select to have a return default to the 1040 instead of the 1040-SR on a return by return basis:

1. From the Input Return tab, go to General ⮕ Misc Info./Direct Deposit.
2. Select Miscellaneous at the top.
3. Scroll down to Form 1040-SR: 1=when applicable, 2=suppress [Override]
4. Enter a 2 to generate the 1040 instead of the 1040-SR.
