When you are trying to print a return, but not all of the pages of the return - you're missing Form 1040, but this isn't happening with all of your Individual returns, check the age of the taxpayer:
If the taxpayer was 65 or older, they have the option of print the Form 1040SR or 1040. Verify if either the Yes or No box is checked:
- Open the Federal Information Worksheet to Part I.
- On the line Print line 1040 SR instead of Form 1040 make sure Yes or No is checked.
If you are trying to print Form 1040, and are experiencing the error:
- Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the program will ignore this error and try to continue.
- Open the Federal Information Worksheet to Part I.
- On the line Print line 1040 SR instead of Form 1040 make sure Yes or No is checked.
