Resolving the e-file error "The Version of ProSeries You are Using is No Longer current"

When attempting to e-file a return, a message reports "The version of ProSeries you are using is no longer current" and the return isn't transmitted.

To resolve this error:

  1. Open ProSeries.
  2. From the Update menu, choose Update Installed Products.
  3. Once the install is complete try to e-file again.
  4. If you receive the error again open the affected return.
  5. While in the federal return press the F9 key.
  6. Open the state and press the F9 key.

ProSeries will block older software versions from electronically filing returns to ensure that you are operating on the most current version of ProSeries software releases and your returns are accurate.
