Troubleshooting Lacerte diagnostic ref. 34649 -PDF copy requirement for other state tax credit for ID

Lacerte is generating the following diagnostic:

• e-file: The State of Idaho requires a PDF copy of other state tax returns to be attached to the return to support the calculation of the Other State Tax Credit (ref. #34649)

Follow these steps to attach your PDF copy of other state tax returns:

1. Go to Screen 4, Electronic Filing.
2. Click PDF Attachment.
3. Click Attach PDF.
4. In the e-file Attachment window, click Browse Files.
5. Locate and select the saved PDF of the other state tax return.
6. Click Open, and then click OK.
7. Mark the checkbox labeled Send PDF attachment with Idaho return.
8. Choose Other State Returns from the Form and line number on state return dropdown menu.
