How to resolve Lacerte diagnostics ref. 30313, 43734, 30315, 43735, 43736, 43739, and 43738

This article will help you resolve the following e-file diagnostics. These diagnostics occur when there is a MN withholding amount (Col E) on Schedule M1W, pg 1, line 1. A 7-digit MN state ID number is required for the return.
- The diagnostic for the M1-W W-2 #X states:
- Minnesota requires a 7-digit MN state ID Number (Col C) and a State wages amount (Col D) when there is a MN withholding amount (Col E) on Schedule M1W, pg 1, line 1. (ref. #30313) and (ref. #43734)
- The diagnostic for the M1-W 1099/W-2G #X, M1-W 1099-DIV #X, and M1-W 1099-G #X states:
- Minnesota requires a 7-digit MN state ID Number (Col B) and a income amount (Col C) when there is a MN withholding amount (Col D) on Schedule M1W, pg 1, line 2. (ref. #30315) (ref. #43735) (ref. #43739) (ref. #43738)
- The diagnostic for the M1-W 1099-R #X states:
- Minnesota requires a 7-digit MN state ID Number (Col B) and a income amount (Col C) when there is a MN withholding amount (Col D) on Schedule M1W, pg 1, line 2. Verify that a valid 7-digit number has been entered in the State identification number field located under the Other information section. (ref. #43736)
