This article will help you resolve the following error messages:
- ProSeries Failed to License Due to an Unexpected Error, Please Contact Technical Support. Error Code: 0-0
- ProSeries failed to license due to an unexpected error. Verify your internet connection is active, and then try again. If this error persists, entitlement components or .NET Framework may be missing or damaged. For assistance with this issue, please review our online knowledge base article. Error Code: 0-0
- Unable to Update. ProSeries was unable to update your firm information at this time due to technical difficulties. Please make sure that your computer is connected to the internet and try again
If you are receiving these errors in ProSeries 2014 or prior, refer to this article for instructions on unlocking prior year ProSeries instead.
Before you start:
This is a generic licensing error that could be caused by multiple different things. To narrow down what's causing the problem, we recommend testing another internet function in the program. The easiest way to check is to run updates:
- Open ProSeries.
- From the Update menu, choose Update installed Products.
If running the updates is successful, continue with the rest of the steps below. Each section will test a different piece of the licensing system.
