Using Intuit Sign CAT plugins in Lacerte
by Intuit• Updated 3 weeks ago
This article explains how to address the following Intuit Sign contacts and questions in Lacerte.
- Determine whether a firm is currently active in the Intuit Sign program, or is still using the legacy eSignature/DocuSign system.
- Update the firm name for Intuit Sign.
- Modify the secondary notification email address for Intuit Sign.
Use the following Intuit Sign CAT plugins to manage these requests.
‣ Check a firm's active provider
‣ Update the firm name
‣ Update the secondary notification email address
Check a firm's active provider
Go to Services > Esignature > Active Provider for a realm [IntuitSign]. This plugin identifies a realm's ID and checks whether that realm uses Intuit Sign or eSignature/DocuSign.
The menu item for firms using Intuit Sign appears as Signature, whereas firms using eSignature/DocuSign see it as eSignature.
Update the firm name
Go to Services > Esignature > Esignature Update Firm Name [INTUITSIGN]. This plugin lets you modify the firm name that appears in the Intuit Sign emails sent to clients and on the screens related to Intuit Sign. Specifically, the updated firm name is used in:
- The email sent to the signer.
- The screen where the signer enters personal details for Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA).
Update the secondary notification email address
Go to Services > Esignature > Update Notification Email Address [INTUITSIGN]. The user account initially used to opt into the Intuit Sign Pre-release program is automatically designated as the Intuit Sign Admin. Intuit Sign sends confirmation emails for every request to both the sender's email address and the designated administrator's email address (the secondary email address).
When a firm needs to update the secondary or administrator email address, use this plugin to make the change. This plugin affects only the Intuit Sign Admin's email address and does not modify the email address associated with their Intuit Account/AuthID. The sender continues to receive confirmation emails, because this tool updates only the Intuit Sign admin's secondary email address.
- Enter the firm's RealmID and select Get.
- Enter the new email address in the Admin Email Address field.
- Enter the Salesforce Case ID in the Incident ID field.
- Select Update to change the admin's email.
