The following diagnostic is generating: trying to efile Federal ONLY estimated tax payments using the estimated payment wizard in Lacerte. The wizard will not file my estimated payment request unless I have a CA estimated payment. I've called Lacerte support and we can't figure out why it's requiring me to have estimated payemnts when nothing is marked for CA. It doesn't make sense that the system will only allow you to efile estimated payments if you have both federal and state payments. I've had the situation reversed where I only had CA ES payments and it went through just fine. My mind is boggled.
