Intuit finds a way to increase their prices every year. Either it’s phasing out quickbooks desktop and force people to pay a monthly or annual fee to use quickbooks online, or now forcing a $99 user access fee in order to e-file while still increasing the filing fee for business and personal returns.

Agreed, utterly ridiculous. And you can't print prior year tax returns unless you have current year User Access! Crazy.

Me too, this is highway robbery.

This is so short sighted.  No other service we have used ever did this.  Just raise your prices a little.  Based on this, we will be changing to another provider. I bet a lot of other providers have done the same. I even called to see if they would let me access one to download and Intuit apparently doesn't give their support people any discretion to retain customers.  Someone at the top needs to learn how to grow companies and keep them profitable.  It starts by retaining loyal customers and keeping them happy.  Nickel and diming them is sure-fire way to kill them slowly, but surely.

Level 15

Intuit just got more profitable. They laid off 17% of their workforce.

How ironic.  Now we can count on a lower level of customer service.  I will say their customer service was pretty good (at least when I spoke with a human being).  Too bad...
