The the ability to just input type "A" or "D" Totals without having to input dates or descriptions would simplify input. We should only need to list the Sales Price and Cost basis. "A" transactions are Short Term and "D" transactions are Long Term. You should not need to enter dates.
Proseries has a 1099-B input sheet that does this.
Thanks for the idea to simplify Schedule D input (like ProSeries 1099-B input sheet). We are changing the status to "Open for voting" since it is no longer considered "New".

Honestly I use Lacerte and it is much easier there. I have memorized transactions from a drop down and use the settings to print on line 1a and 8a of Sch D when covered. That just puts totals on from the 1099B for almost all transactions. PCT has the advantage of being online, but it is much slower input than Lacerte.
