There needs to be an override on Fed form 2555 the preparer can use where the expat works for a foreign employer with no U.S. Federal ID Number. I had an issue getting a return with this going on e-filed, and I am sure others do as well.
Thanks for the idea to add an override function to Fed form 2555 when customer is abroad and working for a foreign employer without a US federal ID number . We are changing the status to "Open for voting".
