I am writing this an was of the loyal users of Proseries Professional softwarewho is frustrated that each year starting from 2023 Proseries Quick Employer Forms stops working and a banner for selling next tax season tax software is all that appears. This is very frustrating because we still have more than 2 months to the end of the year and the IRS is still accepting efiles.  The reason we get is that Quick Employer Forms is in maintenance, that is not true not every year. The truth is to sell Quick Employer Forms. The bigger issue is that with that Sales Banner appearing we tax professional cannot efile current tax forms(1099s etc), we cant print copies for our clients when they need them, we can't solve any IRS and State tax issues, we cannot look at prior year tax forms we filed, we cannot do any business to make a profit and pay bills, we are completely shutdown by Intuit yet we paid for access to the software for the entire y

Why do you keep using it?  If Intuit isn't allowing you to use it when you want, it seems like you need to use some other company.

With that being said, in my opinion you should be keeping a copy of previously filed things for yourself (downloaded to your computer), not relying on anybody to be storing your items for you.

That won't solve the issue of not being able to file new returns, but I suspect most preparers don't have a lot of those to file this time of year anyway (I'm not sure how not being able to access it is preventing you from solving IRS or State issues, or why you cannot do any business to make a profit, unless your sold source of income is filing 1099s, etc.).
