Prepared original return and set up ES payments to be paid via electronic funds withdrawal.

My client got hit by double the estimated payment withholdings twice after return was amended. Not everyone is prepared to not only prepay their taxes, but to prepay them twice.
Unfortunately, I think the failure to clear out "Estimated Payments Paid by Electronic Funds) when Amending The Return" was yours. The software did what you told it to do.
