Computers are doing the same thing they were doing 100 years ago.  On and off switches.  Ones and zeroes.  They have no intelligence other than that of the programmers.  The difference is that they run faster now, because intelligent people are also designing faster chips.  Nothing artificial about any of this intelligence, and those who are afraid of progress should remember the Luddites.  

If a machine gives you wrong answers because of imperfections needing to be fixed by programmers, some people want to shut it down.  If a human gives you wrong answers because voters are gullible, he gets elected.
