I'm not sure about the first five digits, but you can mask the entire number on the print screen. When you are printing a return, paper or pdf, in the print screen that pops up where you select which copy you want, how many copies, etc. there is a checkbox for masking a social security number. Just check the box. If you are printing with a watermark, this will usually mask the number as well.
