Has anyone else heard from clients that opting out of the advanced payments of the child tax credit is next to impossible through the IRS website?
I tried setting up an account this morning through ID.me and the site is useless! Has anyone had any success? I get to upload my driver's license and the site just spins until it times out!

I was helping a client set up an IRS account - well, at least we were trying to - on Monday. We can't get past the financial account verification screen !

"We can't get past the financial account verification screen !"
As I understand it, if your client has frozen their credit, it won't go through with that method.
