And who is your client, anyway? Seems to be like it's the arbitrator, so you need to find out if he is going to pay you or he is just assuming that the corporation will.
I think it is the arbitrator and we have an appointment to talk. I'll visit the AON insurance website for the appropriate engagement letter.
And I think sending a bill with a request for retainer will spark the corporation to begin thinking of me seriously. For me too, I need to be alert to the time I have put into this mess (already two informal phone calls totaling 30 minutes.)
Many arbitrations involve a hearing, and you may be called as a witness. Do you know when and where the hearing would be held? Does your agreement provide for payment of preparation, travel and appearance time?
