I started the day with an overnight Windows 11 update. When I try to open EasyACCT now nothing appears on my screen. Task Manager shows EasyACCT running but no login screen. I've uninstalled and reinstalled EasyACCT but it is still not opening on the screen.

I'm using the latest version of EasyACCT (2025.3.05).

The two Windows updates were KB5089549 (Security Update) and KB5087051 (.NET Framework Update).

I'm migrating to this new computer from an older one with Windows 10 on it and so I still have a functioning program available on the other computer but I'm really trying to get everything moved over to the new system.

Any advice?

Hi @dayooper  Here is a support article with troubleshooting steps that may help: EasyACCT login screen appears as a blank window with no way to log in

There are additional troubleshooting steps you can try in this support article.  If you have tried the troubleshooting steps but are still having issues, please contact EasyACCT Support as they can remote in and take a closer look.

Thanks for the fast reply. Unfortunately none of the suggested troubleshooting items resolved the issue. I'm going to wait a few days and just use my backup system to see what other responses show up here. I'm just not super keen on allowing remote access to my system.

Talked to support, uninstalled 2 Windows updates, I'm now able to open EasyAcct but it won't pull data in from ANY of the backups I did....previously tried the Registry Edit and doing it that way but apparently the last backup I did won't pull any data back in to EA. Lost EVERYTHING....I am having to re-enter everything from 01/01/26. Lost 2025 as well. Already printed .pdf of all of 2025 and already prepared tax return. Not an ideal situation for a program that costs several thousand dollars. Been using this program since 2011 and have never experienced the issues that have happened in the last year. BIG bummer. I am currently looking at other accounting softwares....as much as I hate the thought of learning new software...something's gotta give though. As they say....can't keep doing the same thing and expect different results.

Same here.  I did a Windows update and my Easy program will not open.  There was a comment a while back about Unable to Access Company Files issue (when we restore and backup)  and they said their IT person found it was an issue with Microsoft Windows 11.  This is beyond ridiculous.    After spending this much money it is unreal the problems we have had and then we have to call our IT person for solutions and pay them to fix it!  Easy do a better job!

Hi @FRUSTERATED

If you are not able to open EasyACCT post update to the latest Windows update, follow the below steps as a workaround to resolve the issue.

1. Open the Windows Tax Manager, Locate the EasyACCT process and select End Task.
2. Go to the Windows Settings, select Bluetooth & Devices.
3. Select Microsoft Print to PDF as the default printer
4. Relaunch EasyACCT.

if you have "Unable to Access Company Files" which meant all the companies or all of the clients at that directory will not be able to access too.

i had the same things

Is it working for anyone today? I turned on my computer this morning and everything seems okay - at least for now. Yesterday Intuit refused to open at all.

Well I'm still using the 2025 program. I gave up on 2026 in January. I'm looking for a replacement for next year.
