I found the issue why my liabilities not carryover from last year to this current year. because the update was missed some of my GL accounts. 

i had to run last year GL report on the new update and compared with my paper report (because i printed out Journal to paper each month after done the bookkeeping) and figure out some of the GL account was missing.
