I've been using EasyAcct since 2000.  I will not profess to be an expert but I do my way around the program to print the reports you are looking for as long as the data has been entered either through the transaction entry screen or through Batch Payroll.   The program is set up in modules.  In the write up module you can print the P&L and balance sheet.  The payroll reports can be found in the print reports in the payroll module.  W-2s and W3 can be found in the tax reports part of the payroll module.  Most what I've learned about this program I did by doing.  On the other hand I know nothing about quickbooks.
