ProSeries has a 1098 entry form with a field that allows you to connect the data to the proper schedule (A if a personal residence, E if it is a rental, etc). Does ProConnect have this? Or do you just enter the data into interest box in the schedule entry form?

Just enter the interest in the Schedule E input.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

Hi @JoeC25 , if you are importing the 1098 into the program using the document list feature, it will give a pop-up that allows you to tell it where you want it to attach the interest to.  If you are manually entering, however, you would just go to the applicable screen you need and enter the interest as @sjrcpa suggested.  You can also review this article Entering amounts from Form 1098 and 1099 in ProConnect Tax .  If you need further information, please contact ProConnect Support .
