If I have a client that has an LLC S-Corp election and wants me to do both the taxes for the entity and the 1040.  Can I have two organizers?

I count two entities - one filing as a 1040 and another filing as an 1120S.

Right.  So does that mean a setup for the individual and a second setup for the entity?

I don't do ProConnect so I'm not sure what you mean by setup.  If that means creating one 1040 return and one 1120S, then yes.

No, that's not what I meant but I appreciate you answering

AFAIK there is no such thing as Organizers for S Corps. Your client should be providing you with a trial balance. 🤣

The more I know the more I don’t know.

@kimmonzo

Lacerte (PTO's big sister) doesn't have organizers for Partnerships or Corps (S or C).  Organizers are available only for individuals & trusts.   YMMV, but I doubt organizers exist for entities that, generally, use double entry accounting to maintain the books.

Engagement letters can be generated outside of organizers.  Most E&O insurance companies provide templates - perhaps your insurance provider does too.

I generate organizers for my entity clients using the 'client letter' function.  You 'do' have to develop the wording yourself (at least in Lacerte).   And the letters are generated FROM the S-Corp or Partnership module.

Hi, yes you can create two separate Intuit Link organizers if you set them up as two separate clients inside ProConnect.  So, one would be the individual and you can send an organizer for that one.  The second one would be the business and you can send an organizer for that one.  If you need further assistance, please contact us via chat or phone support: How to Contact ProConnect Support .
