Probably in really fine print buried somewhere in the user agreement. I seem to remember something about folks being a little POed about the new and improved way Intuit is handling things in their Online offering.

It has always been the case except in the past, you could prepare prior year returns free of charge. Starting with TY2019, prior year returns not created before Dec 31 will be chargeable when printed/e-filed against your current year credits.
