In the client information I have done the following, but am still getting the critical diagnostic error:

-Indicated date of death for taxpayer

-entered ID verification information for the spouse

-tried both "identity not verified' and leaving it blank for the taxpayer

Is there a driver's license or other ID used for prior years for the decedent? If not, looks like a paper return for NY.

Thanks George. There is an ID that has been used for prior years. I just wasn't sure if that's what I should mark in the software since I didn't verify the ID of the taxpayer technically.
