I am getting a critical diagnostic "Location of records missing" US - Ref #25155.  ProConnect support said they don't know why it is there and to ignore it.  The referred field is "Location of Records" on the General Client Information screen.  It is 20 characters, so not long enough for an address.  Any idea what this affects? I've not seen it on the 1120S or any primary schedules.

Lacerte (Big Sibling to ProConnect Tax Online) has some DEMO clients. They use things like:

  • Corporate Office
  • Name of the City for the S-Corp including state
  • Name of the City for the S-Corp without the state

So, my take is - put something in there and call it done.

Thanks for your response.  CA does as well and is on a different screen.  This diagnostic refers to Federal.
