How do I correct an error in the ERO's EFIN/PIN on a rejected return?

The ERO PIN is anything you want it to be, so there is nothing to correct.

If the EFIN is wrong, you need to have Intuit correct it.

How could it be wrong? Intuit has to verify it before you start efiling.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

I am a first time user.  When I entered the info into the EFIN/PIN box, I only put in the EFIN.  The return was rejected by the IRS.  I know I need to resubmit with the EFIN and Pin in the Box, but I cannot find how to make that change.  I also do not know if the PIN in this box must be the same PIN as in Part II.
