The foreign tax paid amount was from the brokerage statement and all info input into the dividend screen.

1. Do you need the 1116 or can you elect out of it?

2. If you do need the 1116 you need to attach the 1116 Schedule B as a pdf to the efiled return.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

Don't need the 1116. Maybe I am missing where I check to opt out of it?

In thew Foreign Tax Credti (1116) screen look up a bit and to the right for Gen. Info/Elections and click that Press O twice to get Other Country and then put a 1 in the next box.
