1) I don't use ProConnect - Is that the software you are using?
2) You aren't charged by the word here, so explain the entire situation (what you are doing, why, what happens) and 'maybe' someone can help.

@abctax55 I read recently, I think on another forum, that individuals can get a new social security number for different reasons I believe, like identity theft. So maybe corporations too, don't know if this applies here or not?

@PATAX I read that too, somewhere. There were 3 or 4 'reasons'.
I actually had a client six or seven years ago that had her identity stolen and it was SO bad she did have to get an new SSN.
But how do you steal the identity of an entity ??
That's why I asked for more info - there's gotta' be some back story.

My client's EIN is incorrect. It is a Form 1120S, year 2022. When I try to change the EIN, I cannot enter the client's correct EIN.
