That would be the date YOU promise to the client to have the return done.

From "help"... a very useful tool.

Enter the date you promised the client that the tax return would be complete.

And I don't promise my clients much of anything; they get the return when I get to it.

Probably 10 years ago they abandoned a nice bit of code in Lacerte that let you use that and a couple of items for a sort. Ah, if we could only relive the youth of Lacerte.

For ProConnect it is still there, but it is a useless input area.
