Can you staple another page to a tax return after you have dropped it off in the mail box in front of the Post Office?  Kinda the same deal with attaching pdfs.

The correct answer is sure, you can attach a PDF after the return is filed (I think....)  BUT, you can't re-file that return so there really is no point to doing so.
