Is there a way to get the supporting schedules, i.e. Form 1116, to help yield the same result.

It may not yield the same result. The MFJ vs MFS worksheet is a first draft so to speak.
You need to carefully check everything.
If you can get through to support I doubt this is something they would help with as this is tax return prep not tax software issue.
