How do I get the program to include the underpayment penalty in the electronic payment of balance due with the 1040?
It doesn't automatically include it?
Not on the return I am currently working on. Lacerte did when I used to use it. When I view the Financial Transaction Summary, it indicates that the electronic payment amount does not include the underpayment penalty.
That's screwy but I use ProSeries so I can't help you with that one - sorry.
