Trying to efile a NY return where the federal 1040 has to be paper filed because of a refund and Form 1310 not allowed online. NY in Lacerte won't efile because of the diagnosis with the 1040. Is there a way to efile NY? Paper filing could cause problems because of the restrictions on paper filing by tax preparers.

You should be able to efile with 1310 attached. What does the diagnostic say? My recall it is a warning to attach the 1310 and it does not go away when you attach the form.
